Why outdoor on-location photography? 

We live in one of the most beautiful places in the country. If you got it, flaunt it, right?? Weather can be a challenge, but this is not my first dog and pony show. I will watch it closely and we will make magic happen. This is an experience very different than the portrait studios. You will love the images. It's worth it!!

What does the session fee cover and not cover? 

The session fee covers my time to answer emails, schedule, prep, drive to and from the session, and take your pictures. It covers my time to sort, edit, and create your online gallery. The session fee is non-refundable, but very transferrable. It must be paid in full to secure your appt time. IT DOES NOT COVER ANY PRINTS OR DIGITAL IMAGES.

How much do prints and digital files cost? 

Professional lab quality prints and digital images are available starting at $8. I sell my prints and digital files separately so you can order just what you need. Many of my clients want high quality wall gallery images, while others want digital files (that often never leave their computer). I offer both at reasonable prices so you can find exactly what you are looking for. Selling them ala carte also makes it easy for grandparents or other family and friends to order their favorite images in the sizes that they love. Custom designed albums, announcements, Christmas cards and many other products are also available, just ask. Prices do not include WA state sales tax or shipping. 

My favorite product hands down is the mounted prints. These are images mounted on a hard plastic styrene. They are coated and ready to hang anywhere. I use the velcro strips to hang them which makes creating gallery walls a snap. When you change your mind and want new images, you can easily move things around with no wall damage. Mounted prints are more affordable than canvas and can be framed or set on shelves. They are versatile and come in a vast assortment of sizes. I have samples in the office to show you and many many on my walls. Come take a peek.

What to expect? 

Once you have paid your session fee and signed your contract, we will work to choose a date that fits your schedule. All of my sessions are shot in the best light of the day, about an hour or two before sunset.

I love details. We will cover what to wear, where to have your pics taken, where you should hang them in your home and everything in between. This pre-session consult can be done online, on the phone or in person.

The mini session will last about 15 mins and the basic, full and premium are  45-60 minutes. The exact time needed will depend on the weather, location and number of outfit changes. We stay busy and walk around the location chasing the best light and gorgeous scenery. The PNW is such a beautiful background. 

After the session the real fun begins. I will begin the sorting and editing process, which can take up to 2 weeks during the busy season. Your pictures will then be posted in an online gallery. You will receive an email link which you will be able to share with friends and family. Your gallery will be live for 30 days and you (and your friends and family) can order online anytime during that period. An additional fee of $25 to reactivate your gallery may be charged if it has expired.

Please allow 2 weeks for print delivery. Digital file links will be sent out within 48 hours of payment. 

What if it rains or my senior gets sick?

This is the Pacific NW and I know the weather can be tricky. It usually doesn't rain sideways all day, so I try to be flexible with timing and keep the shoot on the same day. You have already prepared for the session, and I know that is a lot of work!! Keep in mind that just because its raining at your place, doesn't mean its raining at the shoot location. Sometimes we get crazy weather and I will definitely reschedule your appt.

If you, or someone in your family is sick, I would be happy to reschedule your appt. Please call me with as much notice as possible. I will do my best to find another time during the same month that works for you. Please note in my busy months, I am sometimes booked 2 months out.
